Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!

We give thanks O God for your goodness and mercy; for life, health, friends and many blessings in this New Year 2019!  With great expectations in the Spirit of Christ I am soliciting your prayers, support and participation over the next serval weeks/months as we celebrate Men’s Ministry at The Cross in 2019!  As a church, we are becoming spiritually prepared for growth and transformational leadership.  The Men’s Ministry is empowered and excited by the list of events that are planned as follows:

* Saturday, January 26, 2019, Men’s Ministry is hosting a Free Family and Friends Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., everyone is invited!

* Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.  The Men’s Ministry is hosting our 4th Annual “Passion For Fashion Extravaganza” Men’s Fashion Show & Award Dinner. Donation: $30.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 yrs. and under. 

We are asking that each adult man would be responsible for two ($30.00 tickets enclosed with this letter) buy one and sell one!  All ticket funds must be reported by the deadline of February 17, 2019 to Bro. John Weston, (860) 267-0896 or Bro. James A. Riddick (860) 347-2982 in order to accurately count the attendance for this affair.

* Friday, March 15, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. Cross Street Men’s Choir is hosting a “Gospel Concert Extravaganza”.  This will be a Free-Will Offering event.

* Sunday, March 24, 2019, the church will be celebrating the annual Men’s Day Anniversary during our Sunday Morning Worship at 10:00 a.m.


This year our Men’s Day Theme is:
“Becoming Good Soldier of The Cross”
2 Timothy 2:1-4; 10

Men’s Ministry Mission:

Our Spiritual Mission is to lead men into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and help them to grow spiritually as faithful disciples, as loving husbands, caring fathers, trustworthy, committed and responsible Christian Leaders.

During this New Year and Lenten Season, let us each set aside some quiet time for prayer, meditation and spiritual recommitment as we work together to fortify our hearts and minds with Christian purpose and intent.
